Information for International Students

Prospective international students are required to submit the following application documents:

  • Completed Application Form to the Rector of the TU-Gabrovo with a short CV.

  • Transcript of the diploma for completed secondary education. The transcript must be translated and legalized by the respective authorities. The transcript must contain the grades in the subjects forming the examination rating, i.e. mathematics and physics or mathematics and English.

  • Declaration for financial support. The students pay personally or by a sponsor an annual tuition fee (2200 EUR), determined by an Act of the Council of Ministers.

  • Medical Certificate issued not earlier than a month before the date of application and translated and legalized by the respective authorities in the country from which the applicant comes.

  • Four passport-size photographs.

  • Copy of the international passport

The deadline for submitting applications is 1st September. Students with double citizenship, one of which is Bulgarian, are entitled to a 50 % waiver of the tuition fee.

International students studying at the Technical University of Gabrovo are accommodated at the students’ hostels. Exchange students coming under special exchange programmes are housed in the guest sector (block No 6 of the students’ hostels). The rent for a bed in a double room with bathroom is from 45 to 52 BGL per month. The rooms offered to exchange students are en-suite and well-furnished. There are common parlours on the floor with cooking facilities. The month rent is paid in advance.
