This degree course provides training in the latest trends developed in mechanical and precision engineering:

  • design, technology and operation of machines, equipment and apparata;
  • metrology, automation and quality management;
  • information and office equipment;
  • technical diagnostics of machines and equipment;
  • environmental monitoring

After completing their fundamental studies, students choose one of the two specialized trends: precision engineering or mechanical engineering. During their studies there are possibilities for international exchange of undergraduate and Ph.D. students and participation in educational programmes of the European Union.

Students who graduate in this degree course acquire good engineering knowledge and skills for team work, they can do consultancy, technological, design, service, research marketing, organizational and management, as well as educational work in modern companies, firms and educational institutions. They can find employment both in this country and abroad as specialists in:

  • repair, operation, maintenance and diagnostics of peripheral devices and measurement equipment;

  • work with applied programmes for design and technological preparation of production in mechanical and precision engineering;

  • automation of passive and active control;

  • development of structures and technologies in microsystem technology;

  • consultants and auditors in quality management;

  • programmers-technologists of CNC machines
