The department of Power Engineering and Electrical Equipment maintains intensive contacts with European universities in the area of renewable energy sources. An exchange of lecturers and students is carried out every year in the field of PV systems, wind generators, fuel cells, electromobiles. The department staff works on international programmes and projects, and the demonstration produced as a result are available to the students.

Students who graduate in Power Engineering and Electrical Equipment acquire the qualifications of electrical engineer and can pursue careers in all sectors of economy related to the production, transfer and distribution of electric power, automation and relay protection of electric power sites, and also in the sphere of lighting engineering. Furthermore, they can work as designers of electric drive units, manage assembly, start and setup of manufacturing machines, maintenance and repair of electrical engineering installations, etc.
